in Hengchun Peninsula to remove Eucacacia
Japonica and to plant trees for restoration of
native species, including Acacia, Formosan
The event was also supported by Aglaia, Melia azedarach Linn, Hengchun
governmental agencies and leaders, such as Loquat, Fraxinus formosana Hayata,
5,000 native tree saplings were contributed by Pistacia chinensis Bunge, Hibiscus tiliaceus
Mu-sheng Chu, Deputy Director General of L., Terminalia catappa Linn., Aquilaria
Pingtung District Office of Forestry Bureau, pentandrum Blanco, Palaquium formosanum
and a working team led by Deputy Director Hay., Kleinhovia hospita L., and Rose Wood.
General Shu-guo Hsu of Kenting National
Park also joined to help. In addition, many
important community and civic service leaders
participated in the whole process. President
Internet Wang customized special name tags
and distributed to the participants, reminding
them to come back after three years to check
the native tree saplings they planted.
